ISBI 6

Oops. Haven't had as much time to play/write since my summer semester of school started. Let's see here....

I broke the rules a bit and switched to Shawn's household so that he could propose. I did this because I wanted the family to move to this house, not remembering that I could just switch them here with the moving menu you get after a wedding.

Speaking of wedding, I think it's adorable that they were feeding cake to each other!
Elaina lost no time redecorating the house. Must have given Shawn's mother, Sarah, a heart attack or something because she died not long after.

Elaina thought that telling Shawn she was pregnant would be a good way to cheer him up...turns out, he doesn't like children, so his reaction was NOT what she was hoping for.
Didn't stop him from acting like a crazy man when the baby came!

Elaina and Shawn had a baby boy, Dillon. My game started getting a little screwy, so the order of my screenshots is very messed up. To sum it up, Erich (Elaina's stepbrother that had been living in this household), Hollie, Teagan (Shawn's sister), and Stefan all died. Elaina and Shawn had several more children - Joshua, Kaylie, Stephan, and Elliot. Shawn passed away. Elaina found herself a new boyfriend, Lester Christman. They had two daughters, Chelsie and Bethany. Elaina and Lester passed away. I had chosen Chelsie as my next Torch Holder; Elaina died while Chelsie was still a teenager, so I got a little extra time to develop some skills with her.

A couple of screenshots from all of this:

Sharing the big news with her son...I love the expression on his face because it reminds me so much of my own son.

Shawn is not amused at finding out they're having ANOTHER baby.

At this point, it was just Chelsie and Bethany living in the house. Chelsie decided they needed a change of scenery and moved them to Willow Creek.

Once Chelsie aged up to Young Adult, she wasted no time in proposing to Cash Ellison.

I had been keeping a graveyard of the headstones of everyone's that died (though I had to banish spirits because the ghosts were all becoming annoying). I had to move them all to the family inventory though, because Chelsie, Cash, and Bethany were all spending way too much time out there and were always walking around sad.

Chelsie and Cash got married. My game glitched out a little here; while they are married, the progress bar for my event didn't register it, so they had a crappy wedding party.

Bethany aged up and moved out; Chelsie and Cash wasted no time in getting started on the baby making!

Their first child is a son, Henry. They quickly had another, a baby girl named Jamie. Sadly, Jamie was neglected for too long while Chelsie was working on a string of novels (She wants to be a bestselling author) and Jamie was taken away.

Chelsie didn't let her sadness prevent her from getting pregnant again right away, though!

Henry, meanwhile, is so cool he needs shades even while he's sleeping.

So, that's where I am now. I think I'm going to be starting to assign some of the more...ah, colorful traits to kids to make things a little more interesting. I will say though, Henry's the first kid I've given the genius trait to, and he's the first one that has done his homework autonomously. Go Henry!

ISBI 5

Chugging right along here....I have to admit, I'm having more fun with this than I thought I would.
Unfortunately for Stefan, the new baby is another girl, Nina.
Elaina is pretty delighted with her little sister, though she doesn't quite know what to do with her yet.

Stefan felt bad for Elaina being teased at school for her hair, so he treated his oldest to a makeover. Nina's checking out her sister's new threads.

More time passes, and Stefan finally gets the son he wanted, and he does indeed take little Reese fishing. (Side note - I had more screenshots from in between this picture and the last, but they seem to have disappeared on me. Also, Reese seemed to be a little bugged out. As soon as he started fishing here, everyone else on the lot froze up. I later took the family for an outing to the lounge, and the same thing happened - as soon as he actually performed some sort of action, everyone else froze. Not sure why this was happening, as it wasn't an issue on the home lot.)

Elaina grew up and became my new Torch Holder. She immediately set out on a search for a husband. She specifically wanted a rich husband. While her parents had done their best to provide for her, Nina, and Reese, their obsession with sports had taken over. The family sure did have a nice home gym, but the kids never had much in the way of toys. Elaina wanted something different for her own children.

She was hitting it off pretty well with Caiden here, but then she found out he was a Loner. That wasn't going to work - she already had a large family and wanted lots of children of her own.

She went to visit her brother Erich and met Shawn Bloom (the household I had tossed Erich in when he aged up).

She became quite smitten with him very quickly!

Aren't they adorable?
Shawn was apparently quite smitten as well, as he showed up the next day. Elaina was overjoyed to see him. He had great timing, as they were just about to celebrate Nina's birthday.
Elaina spends most of the party getting to know Shawn even more.

Poor Hollie. The kids keep playing the radio in her bedroom and she can't get any sleep. She snuck outside to catch a nap on a bench.

That's enough for now, I think. Lots more to cover though so I'll be back with that later.

ISBI 4

Check out the new digs! Still nothing fancy, but the family has everything they need, at least. And just in time, because Lindsey's pregnant again!

Oh no! Don has passed away from old age. He'll never meet his youngest child. Or will he?

He won't. His ghost terrorized the family, and poor Lindsey was exhausted trying to fix everything he broke. She finally had to banish his spirit.
Spencer, now a teen, wasted no time bonding with his new little sister, Deanna.

Time passed, and Stefan and Lily became young adults. Per the rules of the challenge, I chose Stefan to be the new Torch Holder. Before Lily went her separate way, Stefan threw a birthday party for their mother. It was the least he could do; as an adult, he could now truly appreciate all she'd done to provide them with a good life.

Stefan, who dreams of being a body builder, took a trip to the local gym, where he met Hollie Ivy. He quickly found out that she was an Active Sim herself, and the two quickly bonded over their shared love of physical activity.
Stefan wasted no time in proposing to Hollie, though he did have a moment of panic when his new fiancee revealed that she already had two children.

The little house was quickly becoming quite crowded! Stefan was happy to build additional space to accommodate  Madeleine and Erich.

Stefan and Hollie married in a small ceremony at home. Shortly after, Madeleine and Spencer aged up and moved out. Perfect timing....

Because Hollie's expecting! (Check out the abs on her! She wasn't kidding when she told Stefan she liked to be active!)

Stefan can't wait to be a daddy!

Unfortunately, Lindsey will not be meeting any of her grandchildren. She has also passed away from old age.
Deanna loves spending time with her new niece, Elaina. So much so that she begged Stefan and Hollie to put the baby's bassinet in her room!

Will Stefan need to build another addition? Hollie just couldn't wait for him to finish his workout to let him know he's going to be a father again! Maybe he'll get a son this time. While he loves his baby girl, he's been dreaming of a boy he can take fishing.

ISBI 3

When we last left off, Lindsey and Don had just had twins, which they named Stefan and Lily. Lindsey quickly returned to work, as it was already quite clear that she was going to be the breadwinner in the family. Don had a job, but since he's not motivated to complete his goals on his own, promotions are few and far between.

Don didn't do such a great job while in charge of the babies. Stefan is desperately in need of a diaper change, and poor Lily is starving.

Don did wash some dishes on his own though, so maybe there's hope for him yet.

In no time at all, the twins have grown up. They're great playmates for each other.

But Lindsey has some news for them....they're going to have another playmate soon! Both children seem excited by this news.
Poor Lindsey...between work, being pregnant, trying to maintain the household, and still spend time with her family, she's utterly exhausted most days.
Lily tries to help her mama, though. She's very good at taking out the trash as well.
Poor Lily. The one toilet in the house was broken, and she just couldn't wait until mom got home to fix it.
Labor was pretty rough on Lindsey this time around, but it brought baby Spencer into the family.
In short time, Spencer grows up. Lily adores her little brother!
Lindsey knows that her little family needs a better home. All three children are crammed into one bedroom, and there's only one bathroom for the five of them to share. Things are constantly breaking, and there just aren't enough hours in the day for her to keep fixing them. On her days off of work, she starts working on a few paintings, hoping to save up enough simoleons so that they can move into a new home.
